CNC Machinist - Nakamura 5 Axis

Set-up and operate CNC Mill, lathes, or other machines such as the Nakamura, grinding machines, etc.
Mill turn manufacturing experience is required.
Manage tooling life, adjust, change offsets, and modify programs as needed.
Interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
Follow Job requirements to set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
General understanding of applying cutting tools for machining as well as calculating feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
Ability to read and interpret CNC G- code and programming languages.
Ability to understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.

Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent 2+years' experience setting up CNC lathe machines.
Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus but not required.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
