Director - Applications Strategy Flint Township, MI 12+ months Essential Functions: Assess standards for application development and define best in class development standards, methodologies and policies to address the rapidly growing business requirements and environment complexity while managing risk Development and maintenance of roadmaps to record applications performance and effectiveness Responsible for working with account team in the overall application strategies to support short term and long term application management Work closely with the application strategy team, business units and leadership to execute the application roadmap programs and plans within the defined budget and timeline Allocation of resources effectively and ability to remove obstacles to project completion Manages the application development and support team including assessing skills, and appropriate right size of the team within the budget Ensures applications operations are running optimally following industry standards for effective applications operations Responsible for ensuring team understands user requirements, leading application design, and project planning Has financial responsibility for application operations as well as outlining the cost and ROI for the application strategy and working closely with the business units and company executives Participates in P & L meetings Supervises completion of departmental projects according to time schedules and budgets developed in conjunction with the customer Plans and directs workflow of the Applications management team Works closely with the site Application Service Managers to ensure service delivery requirements and ensures service delivery through SLAs Responsible for hiring, firing, disciplining, and completing performance reviews for direct reports and their teams Monitors staff's quality of service and adherence to standards, measured by review of completed request and customer survey Participates in departmental policy development and execution of thereof Provides leadership to departmental employees by practicing fair and consistent treatment while enforcing staff compliance with departmental and corporate policies Develops in the development, execution and management of service line budget including variance reporting Promotes open communication with Account CE, customer facing leaders and external customer Participates in customer governance meetings on an appropriate basis Maintains open communication and collaborative working relationships with Customer facing leaders and service lines. Participates in determining cost and justification for proposed projects Collaborates with customer to select vendors and negotiates pricing for products or services Supports professional growth and advancement for direct reports and their teams. Responsible for Succession Planning Performs other duties as required to meet departmental or organizational objectives Education, Experience & Licensure: Bachelors in Computer Science / Business / MIS/Healthcare; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Masterspreferred Eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience healthcare operations experience in multi-facility organizations Eight (8) to ten (10) years' experience in healthcare applications including EHR (required Cerner Millennium and preferably McKesson Paragon/Allscripts TW and PRO Minimum five (5) years in a management position responsible for installation, maintenance and security of major healthcare computer applications Minimum three (5) to five (7) years' management experience including staff in multiple locations as well as domestic and globally ITIL certification preferred or in process of obtaining certification Project Management certification preferred Skills & Requirements: Strong working knowledge of Information Technology and Information Systems Strong working knowledge/experience of Healthcare applications Understanding of software maintenance lifecycle Proficiency with programming languages, reporting tools and/or technical knowledge required Excellent written communication and presentation skills Cross functional solution development expertise Demonstrated cross functional teamwork and collaboration Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Excellent analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions/options, evaluate and enable improved processes Leadership skills such as coaching, and conflict resolutions to aide in the development of departmental personnel Superior organization and planning skills and excellent communication skills on all levels Travel: Minimum of 85% within health system
Salary Range: $100K - $110K

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
